Principal Training Project Officer, Training Unit · Capacity Building Division – Frontex, Poland
Friedrich Scheuermann is working as a Principal Training Project Officer at Frontex. He is specialised on ICT-enhanced learning, educational research, assessment and evaluation. During his studies of information science, psychology and informatics in law he focussed on human-computer interaction and societal implications of information and communication technology implementations. He started his academic professional experience at Saarland University (Law Faculty) and later on at University of Innsbruck (Business Education and Evaluation research), where he was mainly engaged in pedagogical aspects of eLearning, socio-economic research and evaluation methodologies. After several years as Managing Director of the Institute for Future Studies, he joined the European Commission – Joint Research Centre (Centre for Educational Research on Lifelong Learning / CRELL) working on large-scale assessment surveys and ICT impact assessment in education. In 2010 he joined Frontex Training Unit, carrying out a variety of tasks in the context of strategic development, coordination of cooperation with EU Members States in the field of Border Guard education and training, and educational innovation.
