The University of Applied Sciences of the Brandenburg State Police (FHPOLBB) was established as the research and training institution for the police service of Brandenburg. It offers and organises an accredited Bachelor curriculum for police officers on the inspector’s level. It is also responsible for the first 10 modules of a Master of Arts programme for senior command police officers in Brandenburg and Berlin.

At present there are about 600 police recruits in training or in Bachelor studies in different careers and classes.

FHPOLBB has strong links into German police organisations and is engaged in several research projects.

The international centre, as part of FHPOLBB, is responsible for the selection and training of police staff for international missions and international police exchange and support programs.
